Hello and Welcome to Ms. Booth's English 1, English 2, and ILA Classes!
To my parents/guardians,
I know this is a very uncertain time, but I will do my best to make the remainder of your student's time in my class as easy as possible. Please check out the document titled "Booth Virtual Learning Plan" for a general overview of the tasks required for each class and the grading policies. Unit Plans for English 1 and English 2 are also available for a more specific list of the assignments that must be completed and their due dates. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via email. I am available daily from 7:30am to 6:30pm. Please stay safe and healthy! We will get through this!
To my students,
Know that you are missed (really) and that I hope you and your families are safe and healthy. I've done my best to streamline assignments so that they are on familiar platforms (CommonLit and Google Classroom for my English classes and Khan Academy for ILA) and paced to reflect the unusual circumstances we are in. If you need any additional help completing assignments, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or Google Hangouts Chat at any time between 7:30am and 6:30pm. After 6:30, I cannot guarantee a response until the following morning (I'm old. I go to bed early.), but I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. I am also going to offer "office hours" on Google Hangouts Meet for each subject area that I teach. Check out the schedule below to know when your class is scheduled (these meetings are OPTIONAL and only if you need/want additional help or clarification of instructions via video/voice chat). Links for the Meets can be found in Google Classroom. There are also a few documents below that are of great importance. They are posted on our Google Classroom as well. The document titled "Booth Virtual Learning Plan" is a general overview of assignments and grading policies. The "Unit Plans" are more specific and should serve as your checklist for completing assignments for class. Again, please don't hesitate to contact me. My goal is for every student to earn a satisfactory grade for the 4th nine weeks and finish the year strong. Please stay safe and healthy! We will get through this!
